"2D / 3D" was a brief we were given by our tutors in the first term of our second year (2003) in the Fine Arts degree in university. The project consisted in finding a personal meaning of the brief and creating an art piece, followed by our artist statement of course.
My art piece was simple. Paint a large 2D canvas, tear is in pieces and randomly stitch the loose fabric back again to form a 3D object. Hey Sosi was born from that, only to be re-discovered nine years later when I decided to transform my hand drawn illustrations into useful and happy objects.
Hey Sosi items are carefully hand made using basic and simple materials and hand building techniques to create goods that everyone can use. Here is a small showcase of product images of the brand. If you want to know more and get yourself a nice treat, follow the links on the sidebar.
